Candle Wicks

A properly selected candle wick helps ensure an even burn, a stable flame and proper wax melting. At “Kvepia Magija”, you will find WEDO STABILO wicks, STN cotton wicks, unwaxed cotton wicks and wooden wicks, suitable for making candles from soy wax, other vegetable waxes and paraffin.

When choosing a wick, the most important factors to consider are the internal diameter of the container, the type of wax used and the amount of fragrance oil. STN wicks are impregnated, made from pure cotton and interwoven with a paper thread. They come fitted with a metal sustainer and are ready to use.

Choosing an STN wick based on container diameter

STN 10 – 58–64 mm
STN 12 – 64–74 mm
STN 18 – 89–95 mm
STN 20 – 95–108 mm

The wick sizes provided are approximate. We recommend performing a burn test for every new combination of wax, fragrance oil and container to determine the most suitable wick for your candle.

WEDO STABILO Wicks

Among the most popular wicks in our range are WEDO STABILO wicks, which are particularly popular for candles made from low-melting-point vegetable waxes.

Recommended WEDO STABILO sizes based on the internal diameter of the container:

38–39 mm – WEDO STABILO size 3
39–40 mm – WEDO STABILO size 4
43–47 mm – WEDO STABILO size 6
50–64 mm – WEDO STABILO sizes 8–10
65–74 mm – WEDO STABILO size 12
75–80 mm – WEDO STABILO size 14
>81 mm – WEDO STABILO size 16 or larger sizes (18, 20, 22)
